Vishakha Nakshatra is the 16^th star in the Zodiac Nakshatra chakra. It starts from 20°00′ from Libra sign and lasts till 3°20′ in the Scorpio sign. Jupiter is the Ruling planet for Vishaka Nakshatra. 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd pada of Vishakha nakshatra governed by Venus and 4^th pada of Vishakha nakshatra is governed by Mars.  

In Modern Astronomy, Vishakha belongs Librae constellations. Vishakha has 4 stars which form a shape like the rectangular top of a table or the lower half of a hanging scale (symbol of libra). The name of 4 stars is Alpha librae, Beta librae, Gama librae & Lota librae.
